Wow, finished at last!!!!!! Took us about 3 months, but we built and installed everything, total cost including filter was $1300,No fish, but that will change in a few weeks.
1600gph external pump with filter trap, 1.5" plumbing with duals intakes mounted at the bottom of the pond, 40w UV thats about 36" long, 2 25w submersible lights, about 1500 gallons total, filter is a converted pool filter (it's huge) We even made the fountain part!!!!

very nice. we will be getting started on ours in a few months i hope. My husband wants a waterfall with a small steam to a nice size pool. How many gallons is yours. Our old pond was only 95 gal. I would like to double that, because i like to keep water lillys. I want to stock with lrge goldfish instead of koi, they get soo big.

Very, very nice. i would wrap the clear pipe (lines on the brick walls near the pumps) with a dark cloth or something because you will get unreal algea in there I am thinking. Cool setup though. Barry

I fell in the pool a few days ago, was playing with my boxers and one of them jumped up and pushed me backwards. I thought I was going to die, right now the pool water is around 41. It was so cold that it was actually painfull on my skin, let alone took my breath away, kinda made me feel sorry for putting KOI's in the pond....All the clear pipes will be wrapped, just one of the final things we have to do
