A friend went to Mexico and brought me back some sand and some coral heads with some barnicals showing and also some sponges. I put these in a tank that is its own system to cycle them. Most of the stuff he brought me is discolored. My question, is this a wast of time and salt or is there a possibility that it will cycle and be useful sometime soon?
