go to lifereef.com and look at there overflow section...they have CAD drawings with measurements and everything. i built my overflow for 35 bucks.

Don't buy cpr overflow if you are worried about water on the floor. Life reef or amirical are two good options.
I believe the problem with cpr overflows is that there is no baffel in the overflow and that causes it to loose syphon (don't know for sure). Anyways, using an overflow that requires a pump to keep it running doesn't sound like a good deal to me.
