over flows

I have a 120g drilled tank with loud over flows any way of making them quieter? They seem to gurgle and burp air, no constant flow of water. Both over flows stay about a quarter full, I have filter material in both in and out flows. They are connected to a 20 gal refugium, and the air causes lots of bubbling. Water flow is good. 700 gal pump on the return side.

Hey Tim,
do you think I could somehow adapt this standpipe method to my 65 that is drilled in the top corner with a bulkhead to quite it down a lil bit?

Yeah the same principle can be used with tanks drilled on the back wall of the tank
