Overflow box question

I'm setting up 29 gal long aquarium with a 15 gal sump/refugium. My tank is not pre-drilled so I need an overflow box. What's the best type of overflow box to use, Tube Overflow Box or Continuous Siphon Overflow Box? I've done some searches but haven't been able to find any discussions on the pros and cons on both boxes. I would appreciate any input.
thanks

You will get many different opinions on this, but I like the continous style overflow. I have one with a aqualifter pump, and it works great, and is easy to start. Just my 2 cents.

The Continuous Siphon Overflow Box is a ok overflow box all-though you have to keep an eye on the little hose's to keep them from being plugged, my mom uses a tooth-pic to unclog, the other problem she ran into was the pump that sits on top of the overflow went out on her, it just stopped working in the middle of the night, she called me at 5am asking what went wrong lol, with water all over the floor,...
As far as the Tube Overflow Box goes that's another pain in the beeep lol...And much more struggle to get running right,
So if I had to pick one it would be the Continuous Siphon Overflow Box, the little air pump that come's with it is $12.00 at a lfs cheap to replace, just watch your airline tubeing, replace every other month or so and you should be ok.
Hope this helps

And good luck
Brian
