i made my own out of a bio-wheel case. i just cut a hole in the bottom, ran some PVC up into it, and put a durso-style head on it. once you plug it in, it primes itself, and pulls more water than would be passively siphoned. i did cut off the intake pipe so that if the return pump from the sump stops, then it will only empty to where i cut the overflow tube.

Hey squidd!
What thread is it where your overflow with the speciman boxes is detailed??
I'd like to re-visit the sump/fuge project.

It's on here somewhere...(with a couple links to it in some other threads)..
I had some computer problems recently and lost my hard drive with all my "saved links" file...
Silly me didn't do any backups
so it's gonna take a bit to find them all and refile for quick reference...
Do a search on this forum and you should find a parts breakdown and maybe a few pics...
