overflow gph vs pump gph

So i purchased a return kit and a overflow kit from GHs but my pump i ordered is only rated for 500 and something gph were as the box is rated for 700gph....does this matter? Also its for a 20L!

What size bulkhead are you using? I think the smallest one they have can handle something like 425gph, which is perfect if you are counting for head loss.
It's better to have more drain power than return power, in any case. So, it won't matter one bit. :D

Nope, having a smaller pump makes it so you don't over flow onto the floor. Now is the pump rated 500 at the head hight you will use it for?

good question.... im using 1" bulkheads on all my systems...
it'll prob only be like 3ft-4ft, its open top and i like to look down on it!
