Im having a problem with my overflow getting air up in the bulkhead I think you call it and it slowly looses siphion. I think when the water drops from the tank into the box air is being taken along with it. Its a normal overflow box that doesnt use a tube. Here is a picture of one like it. I keep having to suck the air out of the little hose to get the air out.

Your link does not work, do you know what model it is, maybe I or someone can help better. Does it have a sponge filter over the bulkhead? Also depending on your set up, you can slip a staw or piece of tubing in the center of the bulkhead to help the syphon.

I attached a picture of what mine looks like. If you look carefully you will see the hose coming off the top to siphion the air out. I dont understand what you mean to do with the straw?

I think with those you just have to moniter them for a while and keep sucking the air out of them when ever you see it. Or you can upgrade your return pump to something a little faster and it should take the air bubbles down the drain line with the water, preventing you lossing syphon.

I had it running for 5 days before it started to collect alot of air. But my return pipe it really big on it and it dont have any restrictions. The pipe only sticks up like 1" in the outside box, is that normal? It never tries to back up or anything. Im just having a problem that there seems to be too many bubbles made when it drops into the inside box from the tank.
