Overflow Opinions

I have just aquired a Amiracle sump complete with the overflow. I am not sure if I got everything that came with this thing in the begining because I was not the person who got it from the origional owner. My question is what does everything think about this system. I have been looking into the CPR overflows and wondered what people thought about that product as well. The problem that I am having with this overflow is the flow rate. Is there any way to regulate this? How do you do it with the CPR one? Please help.

A ball valve on your return line regulates the flow back into the tank which in turn regulates how much water will flow out of the overflow. If it is not flowing enough water, you need a bigger return pump. If it is flowing too much, cut back on the return side.

More info please. What do you mean by flow rate? Is it making noise? Is it not keeping up with the return pump?
