Overflow placement in pre-drilled tank?

Does it matter if they are at the very corners or if they are a bit in from the sides?
If so, why?
If not, why?
Does one require more or less equipment than the other??
Thanks!

Doesn't matter. If anything, being in more from th sides would actually be slightly better since it would add to the linear length of the total overflow area allowing for more surface skimming. I don't see why any more or any different equipment would be needed if the only thing that is different is the placement of the overflow and drilled holes/standpipes.
