hey I have an extra 10 gallon tank and am thinking about making it a nano tank. My question for yall is how many fish can i put in the tank before it is overstocked? I was thinking 2 clownfish and possibly a goby. What do yall think?

It all depends on how you set it up to handle the bio load. I have in my 10g 2 Ocellaris and a goby, but its taken me almost a year to get to this point. I'd start with a LS bed, and 10# live rock and an Occellaris or Perc and go from there. Good luck.

I would recommend getting the Percula clownfish. Ocellaris clowns utilize a lot more space then Perculas do. That's why Perculas are always recommended for the nano tanks. :)
Also, I think it would depend on what kind of goby you were looking into. Some of them can get quite large, and others no more than 1.5-2 inches.

I have 3 fish also- Perc, Firefish and a Yashia Goby.
I have a big cleanup crew and lots of added filtration
So far so good on mine......

I have 2 perculas, 1 green-banded goby, and 1 scooter dragon(though it should be in my 55g with all the little pods). The "dwarf" gobies are really cool. I had two green-banded till the female got sick and died before I could catch her. Take your time with this stuff and at the first sign of sickness, get all the fish out of the tank cause it rips through a 10g like you wouldn't believe. Just don't add too many fish too quick. Even with my 15-18# LR its still kinda touchy on the number of fish I have.

For the goby I'd recommend a neon. those little guys are bright and useful, plus they only get to be about an inch. Perfect for the nano. 2 percs and a neon would give you color variation and small, peaceful and hardy tankmates
