Is it safe to run a Ozone generator aound the fishtank to help air quality??? any benifit from this or waste of time?

Ozone can be and is used to help aid water quality in fish tanks.....

Sorry should have mentioned that an overdose of ozone is and can be lethal to your tank inhabitants as well as you.....Ozone should be monitored when dosed and shouldn't be done without some type of meter or controller IMO.

so it would be a plus then? i should get a meter... i know anything over .04ppm is hadardous to your health.. i run it for an hour or 2 a few times a day...

Yes it's a plus, but I'd get a controller which would turn the ozonizer on/off over the meter; which would just tell you your ORP level......RedSea makes a nice all in 1 unit IMO.
