I call it "Pock-ill-low-pore-ah" although the proper way (Per Borneman's "Aquarium Corals" (p. 213)) Pocillopra = poh-SILL-oh-POHR-ah.
From my experience, it's been a quick grower. I've had mine spawn once in my tank, I now have at keast 10 small Pocillopora Damicornis's growing around the tank (on powerheads, overflow, back glass, etc.) I've had best results with lower amounts of lighting. I first had mine under the radiums, where the coloration was bright green. Under the Ushio's, the color turned from green to dark red/brown. I keep mine under strong amounts of current at the top of the tank. I would say it's fairly easy-to-care for. I also agree that it should be kept under metal halides, which is where it does best. You wouldn't see good coloration or growth under flourecent lighting (VHO's, PC's, etc.)
If you wanted Small polyped scleractinians to be housed under flourecent lighting, I would recommend Hydnophora, some species of Montipora, Porites, Pavana and possibly a Seriatopora hystrix.
