Packrat Sea Urchin

I have a Purple Sea Urchin who is extremely happy and very active. He "gathers" as he goes along. He picks up shells, plants, crabs and a Pink Tip Anemone! The anemone loves to go for a ride and is quite happy on top of the urchin. Anybody have any experience with this behavior?

I've posted pictures on here of mine with all sorts of things on his back. He's quite a riot and we get a big kick out of him. Have you seen yours poop yet?

Yep i have a purple urchin that does the same thing,he is like a walking flypapaer. lol I have even had him pick up my xenia frag and take him on a cross country ride.It is very fun to watch him for sure. :yes:

Walking flypaper...I like it....that's pretty much what he does. He's a riot. I have him in a 75 gal with a fish/coral mix and he's incredibly happy.

They need a tank large enough to have good stable water quality. It should be a mature tank. Also they are known bulldozers. DO NOT put one in a tank that does not have very secure rock/coral.
