Paint

Is there a certain kind of paint I should use for the inside of my canopy, and back of my aquarium?
Thanks

As long as it's dry by the time you fill up your aquarium - then anything but oil based paint and mold and mildew resistant paint should do.
I personally use flat white spray paint for the inside of my canopy's and three to four coats of flat black spray paint in the back of the aquarium. Of course, take precautions when using spray paint.
One thing to never use in a canopy is a mirror. Instead of reflecting light, it absorbs it.

I use exterior latex gloss paint in bright white. Works great, goes on thick, and is cheap.

Krylon Fusion black or blue spray paint for the back of the tank and a white high gloss paint for the inside of the canopy. The white paint acts like a reflector (of course not as good as a reflector)

Thanks for the input on the paint. I just received my canopy and stand from my cabinet maker, so I'm excited on my next 4 days off to get that done.

Well I tested the Krylon paint on the top of my stand. The top of my stand was untreated wood, so I taped it off, and gave it a few solid coats. I really like how it looks, so I'm ready to tape off the canopy, and give it a go. I still need to cut a box out of the stand for the RR plumbing, but there is no hurry.
