Could I get 2 Maroon clowns and put them in the same tank if they are tank bred? The site says that they are around an inch so I think it would be small enough for them to pair up but not quite sure. I am new to clownfish too so I was just wondering what types of food the Maroon would take to the most.Thanks.

what size tank? its possible that they could pair...not all clowns will pair up. my maroon eats flakes/baby brines. at the same time or separate. i have mysis shrimp that im gonna try soon, as well as sinking pellets. they will pretty much take most food types

I have read that even though maroons are hermaphroditic like all other clowns, that they are the only clown not guaranteed to create a mated pair, even if they grow up together. The best chance of getting a mated pair is to buy a large established female, and a really small male who wouldn't dare challenge the female because of his size. And add the female first so she has all territorial claim, another reason for the male not to challenge her. As long as he has no choice but to be submissive, she should accept him.
