pairing premnas?!!

I am wanting to pair my maroon clown, I own the book by Joyce Wilkerson "clownfishes" and have heard of several ways to try this..... my question is can I pair a gold stripe maroon with my regular maroon. I have had a maroon in my 55 for 6 months after moving my false percs to my nano. I just recieved a gold stripe and a bubble tip for $20 from a local reefer that I couldnt turn away. IF I can't pair them then I will have to trade out the fish with someone else or local dealer..... any help will be apreciated.
