I've had him for about a month now in the 120 and he is very pale most of the time, some times he gains a little color for a short time but it fades. I've only seen him turn a normal dark purple a few times.
So why is he so pale? He is fat, eating like a pig, not stressed at all and is getting along amazingly well with the other fish. I feed green algae sheets, Formula one pellets, Formula 1 frozen cubes and enriched brine shrimp and the water is quality is great and he has lots of algae to graze on. He is a little shy but is getting over that quickly.
So why would he be staying so pale all the time?
