PARANOID! about my clam help

i was reading up on mantle extension and it can be too far if its reaching for light. and now im paranoid! lol how do u tell if ur clams mantle is over extending or if its just normal extension, how far should it hang over the shell?

it looks fine. worry about it only if it starts bleaching.

When your clam retracts its mantel see if you detect a white leading edge on the shell if so your clam is growing and healthy so I would not worry about its overhanging mantel

I have a Derasa Clam and he is under metal halide and the mantle hangs over. I think your clam is healthy and doing well.
