Parasite in my Coral?

I know this piece of coral isn't in too good of shape. I just got done moving the tank across town but now it seems it has another problem besides me. I haven't had a good look at what is actually inside this coral but from the shape it looks like a small snail like creature. Can anyone provide any suggestions about what it is and how to get rid of it?
