parasite on fish

I was watching my percual when i found a parasite on it i dipped the fish in freshwater for a second parasite came off. The parasite is about little less than quater of an inch and it is grey with a black inside. Does anyone ahve an idea of what parasite this is.

I have the same thing with my perc. I plucked it off, and he loves me for it. He is doing great, and ever since he eats out of my hand.
