pc light bulbs fade out only 3 months?

custom sealife bulbs started using 3 months ago, replaced another smarlite today and compared them, the blue is no longer that blue in just few months, feel kinda sucks !!

I so totally agree H2O. That's one of the reasons I SOLD all my Smartlites and upgraded to VHO. All sold but one, and I use that one I have left as a dawn/dusk light rather than have it just take up room in my basement fish supply store.
And at $32.00 a crack, they ain't cheap!

Are they Power Compacts your talking about. I just bought some more light with these 50/50 smartlights in. You were saying goto the VHO's, will they fit in the power compact like the 50/50's did?

smart lites and pc's are a whole different thing, smartlites suck, pc's don't, smartlites die after 3 months, pc's after 13 months, get atinic white (daylight) and blue atinic, put the blues n the back and white in front, and boom, you have 50/50's that don't die for 13 months

correct me if i am wrong, but smartlite is a pc, and same type bulb as power compact, except it's 50/50. i replaced my smartlite with an old one i had for 1 year, put it in the back, and middle has a 67k white bulb, and front actinic. the new smartlite bulb actinic side is darn bluer than the front actinic i have, which was just purchased few months ago. it sure is very intense and bright now, just don't know how long the blue will hold.
