PC light not working....

I've never used power compacts till I got my 150g. Today when the lights turned on there was a problem. One side of the actinic blues is on, but very very weak in light. But its also makeing a wave effect up and down the tube. IS the bulb broke, Its only 2 months old? Is the ballest bad? or could a connection be bad?

Most likely, it is the bulb if it partially working. The wave effect is most likely a bad bulb result.

Try plugging a "known-to-be-working" bulb into that ballast and that bulb into a "known-to-be-working" ballast. That should give you the answer real quick.

Yep...switch them side to side...then you'll know if it's the bulb or ballast...
