PC light question

Does anyone know if a strip light that originally ran 55 watt pc bulbs would run the newer 65 watt versions. This is an AGA strip light just for info. Also was wondering if the opposite would be true, I would imagine that a setup that originally had 65 watt bulbs would run 55s.
Just curious since sometimes the LFS carries 65s and other times they carry the 55.

I think I heard that the 55w and 65w bulbs are actually the same bulb, just named diff. but dont hold me too it. I think they would be fine.

That was kind of what I was thinking also, the bulbs appear to be the same size. Also figured if the ballast would run 55 that 65 isn't asking that much since they are normally oversized a little bit any way.

I believe the ballast will fire a 65w bulb. But I have not seen it done.
