pc lighting installation

I just got a pc kit from customsealife.com and I need to make a hood. Can I use the perfecto light that came with my tank. A couple of screws would remove the insides of the hood. The ballast would be outside of the tank hood casing. Does anyone see a problem with this diy? Thank you.

I am doing the same thinf with my old hood, I see no problem. I have yet to figure out the best electical set up for this as I am adding 2 13w pc's from ahsupply. Just balance your blue and white lighting for your critters needs.

i have done this a couple of times now as long as the bulbs fit into the hood go ahead and use it. I get mine from ahsupply.com
