PC lighting questions (ballast related)

Okay... heres the deal I have been looking at retro kits on ---- for my 30 long. I found one that has two 96 watt bulbs but they claim it uses a workhorse 5 ballast to power both bulbs. ANd the workhorse 5 only puts out 128 watts.. Will that even power up the bulbs, or what will it do to them. shorten life, not as brite. etc...Any info would be greatly appreciated. -Thanks- Mark harris

dont know, but id look at a workhorse 7, thatd be perfect for them

ok dont tell eny one but i went to Home Depot and got the electronic it will run a 96 no prob there $19.00 each that is what i run and the'll run 2=55 or65 watt make shure its a quicktronic or electronic or it will not fire the bulb. NO!! magnitic ballest

What did you buy at HD for a CF? I have looked and looked and never found anything remotely possible for a CF...
