PC lights too hot???

I just bought a used 36" Coralife Aqualight 192W with no mounting legs for my 46 gallon bowfront. I was told by the previous owner that the cooling fans did not work. So, I turned on the light to make sure the light works, and try to figure out the fan problem, and found the fans work intermittantly. At this point, the light was only on for a few minutes, and did not get hot. I removed the cooling fans, and found a ton of crap inside and around the fan blades. I also found some corrosion on the fan connector terminals. I cleaned the fan blades and housings, and removed all the corrosion on the connector terminals, then reinstalled the fans into the light (both fans are next to each other on the right side of the light by the switches). After about 10 minutes having the light on and the fans running at good speeds, I noticed the light housing was getting pretty hot (110 degrees f). My question is: Is this too hot? Also, will mounting legs help? I was also thinking of moving one of the fans to the other side of the light housing where there are just two vents. BTW, the previous owner also said the bulbs are about 6 months old and will need to be replaced. I am not sure if old bulbs will cause excessive heat build up??? I am going to get mounting legs before I permanently install the light. Thanks in advance for any help!

I know the fans are an issue with these units, and I know they do get rather warm, but can't actually say if 110 is hot. The ones I've seen do get quite warm to the touch though.

+1 my unit got pretty hot to the touch. The bulbs being old won't cause heat, but it will cause hair algae. I never had any problem with the fans at all. I liked my coraife lights. I bought my MH lights that brand as well.

I've used their MH pro retrofit kits, and they are pretty decent for out of the box IMO....Did you get the moon lights as well Flower?

thanks for the replies. It's good to know that this is a normal characteristic of this light, but I still would like to get the unit to run cooler if possible. I am thinking about moving one of the fans to the other side of the light, and making it a push fan. The other fan I would leave alone as a pull fan. That way, I think it would create more air flow on the left side of the light assembly where a lot of the heat is building up. Any thoughts?
