pea sized spots

5 Days ago I had a power outage for 8 hours. I figure this stress could have something to do with it.
This morning I noticed that my 10" goby(still not sure of exact type) had about 8 pea sized white spots on him. He's black with yellow vertical stripes adn various yellow spots normally. I couldn't get on the computer this morning, so now about 8 hours later I'm asking the question, but there are only two spots remaining. Both are on his bottom, body length fin.
I've only seen ick being salt sized spots, these are pea sized or just larger. Thanks for any help.

Ick would not be pea sized. By describing this as "pea sized" are you saying that the spots are raised or that they are just that diameter on the body?
If not raised, what color are the spots?

Beth,
The spots are mostly pea sized in diameter and are basically white. A milky greyish white. They are not raised. The odd thing is that they seem to vanish and reappear, sometimes the same spot, but they also move. I know this sounds weird. It is not sand or anything from the tank. Right now there are two on it's bottom fin and one on it's dorsal fin(that one has been there off and on since it started. There only seems to be 1-3 at a time and sometimes none. When it started there were a lot. I don't know what else to say. Thanks for the help.
