Yesterday I found my Pearly Jawfish w/ 2 black spots on his right fin. He has showed no signs of breathing hard or not eating or staying hid. The tank is a 55 gal.
All readings are within range.
ammo-0, trites-0, trates-0-5, ph 8.2, temp-77, salinity, 1.024, phosphates-0, calcium-450, iodine-trace.
Other tank members are: 1 damsel, 1 purple fairy wrasse.
Inverts include: 5 scarlet reef hermits, 1 peppermint shrimp, 3 lettuce slugs, 1 urchin, 1 electric flame scallop.
The jawfish has been in the tank for about a month now. The spots are not grain size. They are about the same diameter as the fat part of a toothpick.
Hope this is enough information. Also, my QT tank has not cycled yet so I need a way to treat other than that.
Thanks!!
