I purchased a prizm protein skimmer two years ago when i set up my tank. It has been running with bio balls in it ever since well of course my nitrates are high because of this all other readings perfect.The skimmer came with carbon pellets can i take out the bio balls and put the carbon in? or would this cause problems?
