Pendant lighting in a Canopy??

Is it possible to put 2x175w MH pendants in a canopy. I am custom building a canopy right now, and I just found an offer for a set of these dirt cheap! My canopy is 16" high off the top of the tank. The tank is a standard 55gal. I can email my design on this canopy so far if you want. I can convert it to a .PDF file. One of the pendants is used, the other is brand new still in the plastic. I was also offerd 150lbs of LR for $300. Would this be too much rock for a 55?

I run a 400 watt in a wood canopy about 12 inches off the water. I have to run a fan to keep the canopy as well as the tank center brace cool but other than that it's fine. Just keep about an inch or two between your reflector and the wood. Been running like this for a year and a half with no prob's.
