Peppermint Shrimp Attacks

I have 4 Peppermint Shrimp in a 90 gallon tank. I got them when they were VERY small, thumbnail size, and the hid for months. Now they are big, maybe an inch and a half long and are out all the time. One of them chased my hand around the tank last night fearlessly. Here is my question, can peppermint shrimp be aggresive and kill things within a tank? I don't have any coral, just fish, a cleaner shrimp, couple of crabs, ans snails. My snail population has been dropping for no good reason and I was wondering if the shrimp might be the culprits. I will admit that while chasing my hand last night I let the shrimp land on it and it felt like it gave me a good little bite, is this possible?

They wont hurt a thing they where just "cleaning" the new object put into their territory. They are totally reef safe and nothing to worry about...
