MY peppermint shrimp got into my sump/fuge. I guess it got into the HOB overflow and crawled his way down into the sump. So my question is would he be okay down there i always see him in the refugium? would he eat all the critters in the refugium?
THANKS

It will eat stuff down there. But I dont think he will hurt much if thats what you are asking. He might actually like something down there that why he keeps getting sucked up the overflow. But someone will no more on this. Probably not a bad idea to have a small cuc in the sump but thats just a thought.

Also if you do leave him down there make sure he cant get sucked up by the return pump. He will be torn to bits if he dose.

im no to worried about that just need to no if he will it all my pods and worms in the fuge. If thats the case then i would have to set some kinda trap. But he his going to help clean some detris off the LR and grab any left over food that makes it way down to the sump. Then i will leave him there .....i just got him for an aptaisa problem and he took care of that but other than that i do not no anything else about this shrimp.

Well everything will eat pods. But if he has pleny of food down there I dont see him being a problem. He will clean the rocks. I would put him in the tank if you dont want him eating your pods. I am sure he will. Just put some type of screen on the top of the overflow so he can not get in it.

I have them in both of my systems sump/refugium. They do a good job and I have never lost one in the return pumps (Sequence hammerheads..lots of flow)
