Peppermint shrimp questions

If I did get real peppermints:
1) will they wonder around during the day eating the aiptasia, or are they nocturnal?
2) should they be eating the aptasia already (it has been four days since they went into the tank) or do they take several days to get acclimated before they feel comfortable enough to come out from under the LR?

They tend to hide a bit during the day, except during feeding time. As for eating aptasia, there are quite a few different species of shrimp in the hobby all labeled as peppermint shrimp. Not all eat aptasia. The ones that do, tend to eat it as a secondary to what we normally feed our tanks.

yeah, they are nocturnal, but mine usually come out when the lights are on only when I feed. Depends on how hungry they are I guess.:notsure:
