Peppermint Shrimp

Will these shrimp bother or eat small polyps or xenia? I bought some and it seems like he is earing away at the polyps, also will an emerald crab bother xenia?

i dont think peppermints eat any corals, although sometimes poeple say they mucnh on stuff, ive never had any problems. they eat algae and sometimes eat krill if i give them some. emeralds also usually just eat algae. if the peppermints are around your corals, dont get paranoid, ours play in the cabbage leather but dont actually eat it. i think they like it as a home.

Mine don't bother the polyps. Seem to be much hardier then the bloods.

Mine hop on my star and button polyps from time to time but I have never seen them munch on the polyps. I think they are just looking for food in the cracks. I really like them. They help keep out the aiptasia

Same here. They may walk on them from time to time but never really bother anything.

your comment on keeping the aptasia out at one point i thought was hit or miss. i had some before never touched the aptasia, then recently i got some more and they ate the aptasia. seems like it had to do with the amount of food they were getting, i cut back on feeding and the peps ate all the aptasia.
