Peps vs. anemonies

I read an alarming post tonight. Will my peppermint shrimp (2) eat the bubble tip anemone that I am going to be getting around the end of the month? I love the little guys because they eat the apstasia, but I DO NOT want them to eat my BTA! Please, someone give me some good news here.

I am a little worried about this too...I have a few peppermints as well....sometimes I see them tugging at the tentacles of the anemone and then the anemone shrivels up. I don think they can do any real harm if the anemone is medium sized or more. But I think they could harass it to a point that the anemone starts getting stressed. I think keeping the shrimps fed might alleviate it some.
I was thinking of taking my shrimps out of the tank but theres so much LR that I will have to pull out of the tank to get them ....:(

Well, if some party pooper informs us that they will eventually eat the anemone, they make some sort of a shrimp trap, don't they? You put the food in and they go in but can't get back out or something. Shrimp check in but they don't check out, right?

Oh, and I forgot the mention that I have one great big apstasia that I didn't realize was apstasia until much later. The peps eat all of the babies, but I have never seen them anywhere near the big one. I don't know if this a cause for hope for not......
My shrimp eat a lot. They scamper around and get the food that falls to the bottom, plus the apstasia, plus they polish off the seaweed salad when I turn off the lights.

Never had a problem with pepermint shrimp eating any of my BTA's. Just make sure to feed the shrimp first then the BTA. You might have to convince the shrimp to stay away from the BTA with a stick, or peice of pvc pipe or something while the bta eats.
Was that post on this board?
