Perc Clowns & Tom. Clowns

Maybe, maybe not. If you introduce them at the same time it might work. Also it's your tank and if you want a tomato and a perc. then a get a tomato and a perc. Anything is possible. Sometimes the most aggresive fish can be very docile.

i agree wiht jwt, and a 55 is not considered to be a large system in sw(no offence, i only have a 75 gal, ONLY), and tomatoes are much more aggressive normally than percs
as for attempting, the decision is yours, but i myself do not gamble with the fact that i will buy the one exception to the rules, in regards to my tank

I had a tomatoe and a false perc in a 50 gal (4 foot tank) and had to seperate them as the tomatoe is very agressive. It may work as anything is possible but probably will not so be prepared to seperate them or take one back.

My 20gal used to have a tomato, true percula, and a clarkii clown all in the same tank and they did alot of fighting at first, then they never fought again.... :D

I put a perc in a 55gal with a tomato and had to take the perc back the next day, the tomato would attack no matter where the perc tried to hide. It was so sad. I also was told sometimes it works but I would never do that to a fish again.

I agree the tomato is going to take out the percula clown. i would not do it unless and I would still think about it i had a much bigger tank. best of luck to you. If you try it it is going to be a gamble and you could lose a fish if not both.

I had a percula in my 45 and added a tomato and now I have the tomato. He harassed that poor fish to death before I could get him out, RIP :(

You could try getting a VERY small tomato (like 1in) and putting him in with a bigger 2-4in percula... you would have better chances of puting the two together if you did that

Thanks for all of the advise.
I am going to leave the perc. in the QT, and not
move him into the 55. The tom is about 3 inches (full grown) & the perc is about 2 so from the advise I have read. The tom. would kill the perc. I am a fish lover, so he is going to be the QT perc.
:D
