Perc Question

anyone have any luck throwing in a smaller perc with an established larger one? i want to try and pair up my large(2 inches ahha) perc with a smaller one. will my big guy destroy the little one?

most likely not bc if shes much bigger she already nows she may ram him every now and then but u should have no problems!

sorry for this but i was wondering. should i have any trouble adding another clown in my tank. well its a little different, my current clown is on the smaller side would i have trouble adding a clown the same size or a little bigger?

If adding a new clown to a tank that already has an established clown in there, make sure the new clown is smaller than the existing one. There may be a little bit of tussling, but it isn't bad with perculas. Soon they will pair up.

Most any clown kept as the only one in a tank will morph to female quickly. When choosing a mate for it, pic from a group, not another individually kept one and not the biggest or dominate one from the group. If you can determine the dominate MALE then fine otherwise choose one thats small but appears to be active and brave.
