percs acting crazy

I have 2 perc clown fish that are acting really weird htis evening. the female has been zooming all over the tank from place to place all night. When I fed them they ate they have been starved for days and now the male is doing the same as the female. he is darting in and out of the rocks and zooming all over the tank. It looked like the female was even banging into the side of the tank when she would zip back and forth... In the year they have been in the tank I have never seen either act this way...

Hmmm I'd check the temp of your tank to make sure it has not swung greatly .....
also wild caught clowns will sometimes get "new tank" syndrome where they swim back and forth a ton ...
Check your water levels and your salinity and keep an eye on them

thanks.. maybe they just dont like the small tank. I reduced th eamount of time th elights are on to give them time to adjust. seem a little calmer now. its mainly the female thats been going crazy though

Is your tank fully cycled and what do you have for water movement?? Might be a lack of oxygen or high nitrates too ...
