Percs not hosting but damsels are?

im trying to get my percs to host an anemone or anything at that in my nano and nothing but in my 40g breeder my dominos seem to have hosted one of my corals is this normal?

yes my yellow tail and my clowns host the same bta.clowns and damsels are in the same family

Please remember Damsels ARE clowns. They will host too.
As for the coral, looks like you have a flowerpot coral there, which are VERY delicate, and really any hosting will cause the coral to die over time.

Haha no, just took it from a song. Having the flowerpot (or Goniopora) coral isn't a bad thing. While they are extremely difficult to keep alive long term, i'm more worried about your damsels hosting it because that will lessen their life span tremendously. While it isn't your fault, you will have to take measures to ensure the survival of your coral either by taking out those damsels that are hosting, or taking the flowerpot coral back.
Hosting is hit or miss, and there really isn't a whole lot you can do as a hobbiest to get clowns (or damsels) to host your anemone. As you've found, they really host anything, corals, anemones, power heads, heaters, they really don't care. Just a place they feel safe.

well i am currently setting up a 75g and will be moving the Goniopora to it and im leaving the damsels in the 40g breeder because that is gonna be my frag tank
