I have a large tank it was doing great all levels at 0 I put two Percula Clowns, 1 Foxface, 1 Engineer Goby, 1 sixline wrasse, 1 Royal Gramma, 2 scooter Blenny,10 bule leg hermit,
10 zebra hermit, 17 snails, and 1 Domino Damsel. Everything wa doing great after about 4 weeks I got 4 more Percula Clowns I did drip acclimation for about 4 hours then I put then in my dt, the next day 3 were dead, the day after 1 died, (all 4 were the new ones) then the next day the two older ones died. could this be the Domino Damsel doing this? Also the 2nd day I put fish in my tank my Royal Gramma came up missing I looked every where its gone! the only thing I have done to the tank is I moved all the rock around right befor I put the 4 clowns in could this have something to do with my fish death. Non of my other fish have died just the Clowns. Anybody have any ideal? :help:

How old is your tank, and how large is your tank?
Depending on size, it may already have been at or above carrying capacity. The addition of four clowns all at once might have put it over the top, and you may have caused an ammonia spike.
I'll also note that clowns aren't too frequently kept in large groups, except in quite big systems.

i really dont know but in the future you may want to slow down some on the additions that seems like alot of new bioload for the tank to absorb at one time and then 4 weeks later to hit it again hard, and could be a culprit in your recent losses. 1-2 fish at a time. i ussually wait about a month between additions

i have a 125. its been up for about 8 mo. all the other fish I added were not at the same time it was over about a 6 mo span then after I added the two clowns 4 weeks later I added the 4 clowns. Sorry I wasn't more clear.

yes but from looking back at your previous posts it just finished its cycle less than a month ago and you added 13 fish since than. the bacteria probably could not handle the load. but maybe they could, a large tank is harder to get out of wack. but it is still a young tank and the water and conditions seem to improve over time as the tank is set up. i lost fish for unexplained reasons when i was starting out last year. since i have re added some of those same fish and no problems. the only thing diffrent is the age of the system.

no your right about the dates I only have a cleaner crew in the new tank I get a older 125 from my brother who did not want to deal with it anymore it has been up for about 8 or nine mo. I plan to put tangs in my new tank which has just finished its cycle a week or so ago but I going to wait on it a little longer just to be sure
