Apart from the fact the they need to pair up etc... Do they require anemone in order to breed?

According to the book by Joyce Wilkerson, Perculas do not need an anemone in order to breed. Also, the anemones that she lists as being "Percula-compatible" are for the most part short-lived difficult to care for anemones (e.g. the Ritteri, and other carpets). The current trend is to not use any type of anemone, but to rather use an easy-to- care for coral, due to the poor survival rate of anemones.
