ok over the period of about 7 months ive had 6 pair of clowns die....the first time i got 2 clows 4 days later this cottony stuff was on them tried to gt them but they died...waited a while got anoter pair same thing but they also had ich....so i waited a whole month for the ich to die in my reef tank....put in 2 more clowns, tang and a wrasse... the tang and wrasse a re fine but the 2 clowns got that cottony stuff on them again and died....whats up with this ?...dose my tank have some sort of permenent desease that attacks clowns ?

Could you describe "cottony". What did it look like and what where the fish's symptoms. My initial guess would be brooklynella.

kinda like strands of cotton...or during holloween when you can get that cotton stuff thats suppose to look like spider weds ...kinda like that...hope that makes sense

If it looks like it is pealing off the fish, then it is brooklynella. I would suggest that you QT your fish, particualarly if you are going to get clownfish. Before a clownfish purchase, be sure that you have formalin on hand. Then, at the first signs of this, begin formalin bath threatment. There is a link to an article regarding formalin by Terry in the FAQ Thread. You can also find many posts on the procedure [which is very simple] be doing a serach.
