does a perc have any preference on anemones? Im planning on getting a 50 or 55 gallon tank fish i want are 1 flame angel 2 percs 2 jawfish 4 firefish i was leaning towards a carpet but i have heard that these will take away some of the possibilities for different fish. if it helps the percs are gonna be tank raised they're not going to be pairs. i plan on introducing at the same time so they (hopefully) wont fight also would this be overstocking the tank?
also are reef tanks hard to keep and (in general) do they cost more or less than a FO
some side questions
what is live rock and why is it so good?
if i get it how much should i get?
what is a refugium and should i get one?
sorry for too many ?s but i want to get this tank perfect

yes!
they do have preferences, and foes in anemones, but to help you further, you should first decide on which clown, different clowns like different anemones
judging from your other thread, I have to ask, How old is your system?
Being as you asked about lr, I would assume you have a fairly new system, in which case, I would definitely avoid anemones for now, they can be very delicate. not that you aren't ready, but tanks take a while to get ready for inverts like anemones

perculas are actually questionable as to whether they will survive a cycle, you have had many questions about starting out, this is good, keep asking
you can cycle your tank with the sand and lr, especially if you MO or buy uncured rock, because the die off will cause your cycle to start, and using rock like this will almost definitely kill anything, if it is cured and bought locally your spike won't be as bad and the percs may survive
You would be much better and faster to cycle it with locally cured lr, however this is more costly, but I would cycle it empty with only lr(@70-80 lbs) and sand and after your cycle is complete, do a @20% water change and then add fish slowly(over a period of months)
did you read this
