When i wake up in the morning and turn on lights outside of the tank my clown goes absolutely nuts. He swims as fast as he can and runs into the other side of the tank. It is almost as though he is blind. This is the only time it behaves like this. I am scared that he may harm himself because of the impacts. If anybody has seen or heard of a clown doing this i would appreciate any info thankyou.

If the clown is new to the tank he is just getting use to it probably. After a week or so he should calm down and learn the boundrys. Also a timer on the lights helps make it more consistant so there is less shock when the lights turn on or off.

not for nothin' but I've had a hand full of clowns that have all had different personalities...just consider in the factors and draw a conclusion...I would say...change your lighting routine and good luck...
