PeTA needs no love from anyone owning an aquarium. Their goal is to not even allow capitve breeding of any animal. I can provide links, and quotes from their president if anyone questions this. They even want ALL dogs and cats to be all spayed/neutered BY LAW to phase out all companion animals.

i disagree with them trying to get rid of all companion animals....if we did that the species diversity drops...and might as well lead to another mass extinction..those folks are crazy...

PETA is forgetting 2 major facts, humans are an animal in the ecosystem, and they are at the top of the food chain. Removing humans from the food chain, for example not hunting rabbits, is environmentally irresponsible.
Every year a couple of communities here hire hunters to kill deer because their population is out of control. A lot of people who live in those areas protest and actually cry on TV. The deer population is off balance because when they tore down the woods to put up their houses, they destroyed the habitats of the wolves and coyotes that would hunt the dear. Why aren't they crying for them? Only cute animals deserve to live? Are those people all vegetarians, because cows are cute with those big ol' brown eyes.

They take it over the edge.
People treating animals cruelly is bad, people having a relationship with other animals in natural.
I'm a self admitted hippie and quazi vegitarian (I eat fish + dairy) but I'm not online with PETA and I laugh every time I see "PETA = People Eating Tastey Animals--Come on, it's soooooo funny!
