pH Going Down in Hypo

As I've posted before, I'm doing hyposalinity in my display tank for ich and after 36 hours, my salinity is down to 1.016. I'm hoping that I'll be down to the desired level by Sunday morning.
However, I'm accustomed to seeing my pH at 8.3 and now it looks like I may be around 8.1. Can I use that Marine Buffer and apply it to my next water change?:help:

I just finished doing a hypo on my display. It is important to keep the pH correct, so you are going to want to use a buffer. I used Kent Marine Pro Buffer.

As water becomes less saline, pH drops. You need to maintain adequate pH.
Bring the pH in your QT back up to the same level as the pH in your display tank using the buffer product of your choice. Add enough buffer to bring up the pH just a notch each day until you are back to your standard range. Measure your pH the same time of day before dosing.
