I am not sure its called Phosban but that stuff that is in the Phosban Reactors :notsure:

Anyway can you put some of that stuff in your Wet/Dry filter instead of using the black piece in the back and it be ok? I would still have my filter pad and some Phosban behind that so I could maybe lower my trates a little. Would this work?

Yeah, that stuff needs to be suspended or it will turn to a solid brick in a few days..been there, wasted that

What I did instead is bought some of the Phosphate sponge stuff and put it into a micron mesh bag and placed it into my wet/dry where the water flows in then through it and back into the tank. Hopefully this will help me out on the hair algae issue which has gotten much better now since I added some more flow.

isnt the fluval canister the same as a phosban reactor, it has constant water flow, the canister has the first filter pad in it taken out and a bag of phosguard put in, also if it hardens will it put anything back into the water

Kip, we're wasting our time here. I don't know how much more we have to tell this guy for him to understand. Just let him do it, some people have to find out the hard way.

Dude, it was said over and over again why it wouldn't work but you just don't read. We told you everything except what you wanted to hear. (you want to hear what your doing will work)
Kip pretty much covered the whole thing on his first post. If you don't know how you Fluval works then say so.
Did you bother to do a search, read all the info out there on this stuff? If you took the time to do so, you would know all you need to.

well SORRY i just thought that since i took the filter pad out and everything that it would be almost like a reactor and the owner at my lfs said he used it in his wet and dry with out it hardening up until a month or so
maybe if u would read closely i only see one time were u said it wouldnt work, and the rest i was just wondering since i took out everything in my fluval if it would work
wut pisses me off is that just because i was asking too many questions, u think that helping me is a waste off time, at least kip spent the time to help me:mad:

The only diff between me and kip is that I speak my mind. It was said at least 5 times it wouldn't work. You just see things the way you want to see em..
So I take it you did NO RESEARECH at all.
