Well, I got the answer from the man himself. Heres a copy of the e-mail if anybody is interested.
Dear Sir,
Our instructions are correct. The normal flow through the reactor is 20-30 gph. Choose a pump with between 100 and 200 gph capacity, allowing for head pressure losses, and this will also afford you the ability to periodically open the ball valve and purge the media with a stronger flow to stir it for a few seconds.
Thank you for pointing out the discrepency we will contact the vendors to correct the information.

and Smith and in many mags it recommends 80 gph....Which is correct? I am thinking of buying this product and want to make sure I install it correctly. Thanks
