Thinking of getting one...does anybody know the flow rate?? Most mags and online say 80gph,but the actual company that makes it recommends 20-30 gph....what gives??
I would think the company would know what they are talking about...but why is everybody else off?

Mine says 90gph or basically just enough flow so the media looks like its bubbling at the surface but not churning.I didnt used a individual pump with mine,i T'd off my sump return pump with a valve to regulate the flow and it worked out great. No extra pump, electricity or heat.

Well, I got the answer from the man himself. Heres a copy of the e-mail if anybody is interested.
Dear Sir,
Our instructions are correct. The normal flow through the reactor is 20-30 gph. Choose a pump with between 100 and 200 gph capacity, allowing for head pressure losses, and this will also afford you the ability to periodically open the ball valve and purge the media with a stronger flow to stir it for a few seconds.
Thank you for pointing out the discrepency we will contact the vendors to correct the information.
Sincerely,
Julian

On the PDF file for the directions it recommends 20-30 gph. On Drs F

and Smith and in many mags it recommends 80 gph....Which is correct? I am thinking of buying this product and want to make sure I install it correctly. Thanks

same with me. i need to get a stronger pump, went with 106gph thinking it would be fine...waste of money on a pump so i need to get a new one still
