Photo help.

I need some help with taking pictures. I have a nice cannon powershot 3 IS 6mp. I can take ok pictures but nothing like some of the beautiful ones i see on here. my glass is spotless and water is clear. I also need hep with the macro shots How do some of you get these super close ups? I have a macro setting but cant zoom with it. I have photoshop but either i dont know how to use it or its not worth a darn. any help would be appreciated.

well if u have a cam like mine theres a "focus in" option (icon looks like a flower) and a box appears as your ready to take the picture, u put whatever u want the camera to zoom in on in the box and it comes out crystal clear close up.

Makes sure the glass on the inside of the tank is clean. I use a magnet scruber minutes before I thake pics. even though you may not see it, a think film of almost undetectible algae is always on the inside of the glass, the auto foucs on the camera will sense this.
